R v B– POCA proceedings were brought against the client following a fraud conviction, involving a Bitcoin. Initially, the CPS agreed to the Bitcoin seizure satisfying the benefit however, this was based on the current value of the Bitcoin. The value of the Bitcoin rose and fell, and this would be detrimental to my client as he would then be liable to pay the outstanding value. After numerous conversations with the CPS, it was finally agreed to state that the Bitcoin only would be seized, regardless of its value at the time. This was a fantastic result for the client who had benefited a substantial amount from his crime.

R v W- Client was acquitted on an Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, whilst on licence for Manslaughter. He was recalled to Prison and bad character application was made against him, putting the client at high risk of conviction.  Following various enquiries for witness support on behalf of the client, he was subsequently acquitted.
