Gareth Joined Levy & Co Solicitors LLP in December 2010
Gareth studied at Queens University Belfast and after successfully completing his Law degree, he further attended the College of law in Chester to complete the Legal Practice Course.
Gareth went on to complete his police station accreditation before qualifying in 2007 as a Solicitor at one of the largest Criminal defence firms in London. Gareth has since attained Duty Solicitor status.
Gareth regularly attends police stations, youth courts and adult magistrates’ court and is experienced in representing clients in all areas of Criminal Law and has experience in Mental Health Law. Gareth is well known as an extremely competent trial advocate and conducts summary trials on a regular basis. Some of his recent cases are;
R v T – Acquittal. An allegation that a care worker had assaulted a patient which was witnessed by another member of staff
R v C – Acquittal. A domestic assault where evidence was provided by the complainant.
R v F – Acquittal. Allegation of Domestic assault seen by an independent witness.
109mph in a 70mph limit – Gareth successfully persuaded the magistrates not to impose a disqualification and instead to impose points on the defendants’ licence.
92mph in a 60mph limit Gareth successfully persuade the Magistrates’ to impose 6 points instead of disqualification.
