Elliott Moulster

Elliott was admitted as a Solicitor on 2 April 2018 following the successful completion of his Training Contract. He graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2016 having achieved a First in his undergraduate law degree and a Distinction in his combined postgraduate Masters / Legal Practice Course.

Elliott’s passion for criminal law has existed ever since he undertook a placement year at a criminal law firm in Central London during his studies. This passion continued throughout his degree and influenced his decision to undertake his Training Contract at a large crime and regulatory law firm located in Nottingham and the East Midlands.

Elliott completed a significant part of his training acting as a Solicitor Agent on behalf of the Health & Safety Executive. He assisted in the prosecution of various companies that were alleged to have breached health and safety law. His involvement in these cases ranged from initial case management to sitting behind counsel at Crown Court Trials and Sentencing Hearings. This experience has provided Elliott with a significant experience in criminal litigation as well as a unique insight into the workings of a prosecuting authority.

Elliott was able to demonstrate his potential as a criminal litigator whilst practicing in regulatory law through the additional qualifications that he was able to obtain. He obtained Police Station Accreditation Status within a year of starting his training and was therefore able to undertake out of hours police station call outs throughout. He also successfully completed the Higher Rights of Audience Qualification meaning that he has joined the firm as a qualified Solicitor Advocate.

Elliott is very pleased to be able to return to the South to practice as a Qualified Solicitor. Since joining the firm, Elliott has obtained the Magistrates Court Qualification meaning that he is now able to practice as a Duty Solicitor. He obtained this qualification by representing clients accused of various offences at various Magistrates Court across Essex. Elliott has also settled in well as a trial advocate, having recently obtained not guilty verdicts in several fiercely contested trials.
